Nightwish - Imaginaerum_AS

Nightwish - Imaginaerum(album-summary)
I find it hard to describe how I feel about this album.
Simply - I enjoyed it to what I would describe as the most I have enjoyed an album so far.

One might say that it is most similar to that of a
good dream; that dreams bring across feelings that
the visual images in the dream normally wouldn't.

My point is that the feelings this album brings
across not only makes it hard to explain
completely, but it is what makes it great.
One of the main factors in making a brilliant
album is to be able to encompass the listener
into the music.

Nightwish have always included many themes
into their albums, however I find that this one
has really engulfed itself around my mind, and
through its mysteriously dark and symphonic sounds,
created a vivid and powerful journey through my
imagination.

How I judge an album, is based on the contrast
between the songs, how much it captures your
interest, and how it blends together.

What I am most impressed by in this album,
is exactly how perfectly the album blends.

Now most artists tend to include an 'album intro'
which is used to set the mood for the album,
and to keep you interested. Although I am impressed
by this album's intro, the most notable part is its 'outro'.

The last song in the album is an orchestral version
of almost every song in the album, and I find that
this is the perfect ending, and really makes a change
from how most albums end. I have never seen such
a spectacular idea, and is simply an added bonus to an
already perfectly constructed album.

2. Ghost River

3. Slow Love Slow
